Secretary Update

I just finished adding the last few accessories to the Secretary I bought while hubby was away.  I was waiting for the vintage silver mint julep cup from here and a few other things.

I was going for this look like the one in Lonny Magazine Issue 4.

This is what ours looks like.

I recently became obsessed over vintage silver housewares.  It started when we began using my father-in-law's sterling silverware for special occasions. He gave us his set after we got married and we never used it until this Summer.  I always thought that silver was a pain to maintain, but I don't mind it.  You may find this weird, but polishing silver is a stress reliever for me.

Many of the items you see were thrift finds. Here is a list of the sources for the other items.

1. Glasses with silver rim on the top left and vintage silver ice bucket shown on the middle shelf on the right from here also.

2. Glasses on the top right and the silver clock on the bottom from here.

3. Decanter from here. It was a Father's Day present for hubby.

4. White faux leather tray from HomeGoods.

5. Silver toast rack holding thank you notes is from eBay.

6. The other silver vintage housewares are thrift finds.

Have a wonderful weekend!
