Napa Valley Weekend Trip
What a wonderful time we had in Napa Valley.
We only wish that the weekend had lasted longer.
I am so glad that we finally made it there.
Napa Valley was on our list of places to visit before we leave Monterey.
We only have six more months in Monterey
and then we are headed to South America.
and then we are headed to South America.
More on that to come later.
We experienced for ourselves that Napa Valley can be a kid-friendly tourist town.
picked up some sandwiches for our picnic.
AJ loves grapes. In fact, that is his favorite fruit.
He felt like he was in heaven being surrounded by grape vines.
We believe that he will become a great wine connoisseur when he grows up.
I think he enjoyed the trip as much as us, if not even more.
He found trucks and tractors, his favorite things, at the vineyards
and he enjoyed just watching them.
Here is a better picture of grape heaven. I believe that these were Cabernet grapes.
Since we kept our trip kid-friendly, we
and we stopped there for a picnic.

There was wonderful shopping there.
I have more pictures to share about the store,
but I will save the rest for a later post.

Since dinner at a nice restaurant was out of the question with a toddler,
Once the little guy was in bed, we dined "tapas" style with a really nice bottle of wine.
It was perfect and all we needed.
There were so many other places we didn't get to visit.
I wanted to stop everywhere and take pictures, but we were
limited to AJ's nap time and how much he could tolerate.
We hope that next time we visit, we will go sans AJ so that
we can really get a feel for Napa Valley.
Regardless, we made it into a family trip and it was great.
