Weekend Progress

Not much to report on the entryway makeover. My sewing class got cancelled last minute which was a good thing since hubby wasn't a big fan of the table skirt for the console. He likes things just as they are. What do you do when you get resistance from your partner?

I did make progress on my inspiration board. I used fabric I already had on hand, even though it wasn't my first choice. Sometimes, using what you have is best for budget reasons.  Here is a picture of my board. As you can tell, I already have Christmas on my mind - my favorite holiday. I have been gathering some inspiration pictures of small trees for our small living area. I will post my inspiration pictures of those small trees as Christmas nears.

I also opted to simplify my board by simply covering it in fabric and not framing it. 

I think that I need to redo it like this one. It was love at first sight.

So I take it back. Sometimes using what you have on hand isn't best.

I ordered a fabric sample in a white linen. I am sure I will like it. 

I will order it for my board makeover once the sample arrives. 

I have this rule of not ordering fabric until I see it in person and 

the sample does that.
