Another Space That Makes Me Happy
This evening I found the home of Becky via here. I absolutely fell in love with it. It features a few of my favorite things - a sunburst mirror, DIY Kate Spade Ampersand, and the Chiang Mai Dragon fabric and wallpaper.
Some other things that we have in common is that soon I will be adding pillows in the Winsdor Smith Riad fabric and I also added this book to our bookshelf in the living room. You can see the pillow and the book displayed on the images below. I had bought the fabric and the book before I saw her home. Sometimes I really doubt myself when I pick out things, but after seeing her home it reassured me that I am going in the right direction. Do you ever doubt yourself?
About the book, I have to say I love it. If you are a parent, I highly recommend this book. I think you will find great ideas to use in your own home. You can see I selected this book as my book of the month. I hope to have a book once a month to share with you. This way I will be reminded of what books I want and still need to get.
Now I just need her beautiful home and the rest of her furnishings and that wallpapered wall. If only I was loaded.
I have too many home projects and not enough time. If only I didn't have a job that took 40 hours of my week. I am really grateful for having a job though. It's all about having a balance. Thank goodness for my little assistant - he is great help. He helps me make his breakfast every morning on weekends. His specialty: pumpkin pancakes and French toast.
Here are some projects I hope to one day complete.
1. Make AJ's growth chart from a wood airplane propeller - see this post
2. Paint hubby's dresser - it seems like it has been raining every weekend - see this post
3. Wallpaper or paint the inside of the secretary - I have some ideas that I hope to share with you soon.
4. And now I am adding, gallery wall to the list
I like staying busy though. It keeps me motivated, energized, and happy. How about you? What keeps you going?
