If you have been following for a while, then you know that I love baking especially during the holiday season. I love having an assortment of homemade cookies around Christmas time. It's another holiday tradition I truly enjoy. I usually pre-make the dough and freeze it then it's ready and all I have to do is thaw it overnight and the next morning I am good to start with the cookie production. When AJ was smaller he was more willing to want to get in the kitchen with me to help, but now he prefers to eat the raw dough so I don't get him involved too much. I will see if Ella Sofia wants to help. This year, I am definitely baking the butterbredeles, vanillekipferl, sugar cookies, apricot pinwheels, and chocolate crinkle cookies. I may attempt the fleur de sal caramels and I really want to make the Spitzbuben {a new recipe}. As I am typing this, I am already stressing because I am realizing my list of cookies is very optimistic. I only hope that I can get this all done or I will be disappointing some family members. Anyway, feel free to refer to this post as a holiday guide for your own homemade cookies and let me know if you try any of them.
