Good Things

So the first week of the first month of the year is over. The holiday season is over, school is starting, as well as me working and blogging. I so enjoyed the days off. There's no rush to get up and do anything. Emails can wait if needed. The idea of waking up to coffee in the morning while the kiddos are on their best behavior allows me to really relax and get ready for the day. Getting up leisurely and not being worried about driving AJ to school can be refreshing, but I'm also ready for my normal routine and day-to-day tasks. When I'm out of it, my brain feels unorganized. Does that happen to you?

I hope you enjoy this week's good things post. This time, I went ahead and added a description to each.

1/As Ella Sofia gets out of the "baby clothes" and moves up to toddler clothing, I'm finding that shopping for her can be a bit more fun. And this little girl loves her clothes and shoes.
2/I'm making sure to restock my gift tags for the new year for birthdays and anniversary gifts.
3/This Mast Brothers Cookbook has been added to my wish list.
4/I need to update the pillows on the sofa, and I'm loving these.
5/We are starting the new year with smoothies for breakfast each morning, and today we are starting a 7-day cleanse. Follow my smoothies pins here.
6/I recently bought this datebook. It's been helpful to have a planner in my handbag. I much rather prefer to pull out my pen then my iPhone to make appointments. It's the little things and I am definitely old school about this. I much prefer paper over electronics.
7/I know most of us are thinking about dieting, starting a cleanse, and exercising more, but when you want a little treat, a small bite of these chocolates will satisfy your sweet tooth.
8/One of my unspoken new year's resolution is to do a better job of taking care of my face. I recently invested in this Bobbi Brown eye cream and it's hand down the best one I have tried. I think that what I need is to be excited about the beauty products to make sure I use them. Choose well and spend less is my phrase for all of my facial products this year. When you buy what you love you won't end up replacing it before it runs out.
9/These loafers are the best! You've seen me wear my leopard ones quite often. And just recently I was hoping to add some bright colors for the new season. And when I saw Cole Haan brought them back, I definitely added a couple of colors with the sale. See the leopard loafers on me here and the pink on Mackenzie here. In case you are curious, I ordered the melon and the pink.
10/The perfect travel coat don't you think?

Happy Monday!
