Summer Road Trip Essentials
I've partnered with RelayRides to share my summer road trip essentials. Summer means vacationing whether it's taking a week long trip or just a day trip to explore more of your city or even state. I myself am planning to explore more of North Carolina as its probably our last summer in the state. For my summer road trips, these are my travel essentials:
Panama Hat
Any hat, will do obviously, but I'm quite attached to the Panama hat style.
Soft tees or comfortable attire
For me that's a soft cotton top or dress. This dress is shown above.
Snacks
I was recently introduced to these Kind bars and they've become my favorite snack. And for the kiddos, always extra snacks.
Water
Water is essential, but in the summer in addition to drinking plain water, I'll pack a container of coconut water to help me stay hydrated. I'll also pack my bkr water bottle to refill it on the road.
Notebook and Pen
Traveling is very inspiring to me, so I may sure to pack a notebook and pen to jot down ideas and thoughts.
Magazine/Book
If I'm not the one driving, a magazine is always a good idea in case I feel like reading. Porter is one my favorites along with Domino and a new read I'm really enjoying is The Vacationers.
Sunglasses
Ray-Ban is classic at its best. I love my Ray-Ban Aviators.
Smart Phone
My iPhone goes everywhere with me. It doubles as a camera and a gps.
Cameras
My DSLR camera {not shown} and my Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 are essential to document the trip in pictures.
Leather Tote
A big leather tote makes it easy to haul all of my travel essentials I need. Cuyana totes are a favorite. Inside my tote, you'll find Truffles pouches that help me stay organized, a lightweight summer scarf {or this one}, sunscreen, a small leather pouch containing my business cards. You never know when a networking opportunity may present itself.
Summer Playlist
I'm working on taking the time to create playlists for my trips. Music can certainly make road trips more enjoyable.
