Happy Independence Day! A couple of weeks ago, we had a s'mores celebration in our backyard and since the 4th of July was so near, I turned it into a festive night. After dinner one night, we had s'mores for dessert and we toasted plain marshmallows too {the best!}. The night was cool to our advantage and we all stayed up a bit past our bedtimes, even the kiddos, but that's what summer is about. We also set up the kid's teepee outside, laid a blanket and some festive pillows, and we enjoyed our s'mores and the cool summer night. I am sure we'll be bringing the teepee outside more often.
