French Five: Fall/Winter Edition

frenchfive-fallwinter2014This season I'm totally jumping on the French Five bandwagon. I had a hard time committing to this concept early in the year although I had every intention on doing so. For the past few months, I've been talking about choosing well and spending less, about creating signature pieces and building a timeless wardrobe, and although I have kept true to those words, I have been spending too much money on the little things. A thing I have learned about style is that it has nothing to do with acquiring the new "it" bag or shoes. It's about creating your own signature style and knowing your lifestyle to be able to choose pieces that will prove to be good investments. These five items are also fitting with my movement to a more minimal lifestyle. And it just so happened that it was in a way inspired by this Emerson Fry look. It's time to invest in bigger pieces that I know will prove to be versatile and offer many outfit options. This, or a version of this, may just turn to be my fall/winter uniform. I'm also switching my signature scent for the new season with a bottle of Balenciaga. My French Five Fall/Winter Edition 20141.
