2014 Holiday Guide: Brunch Favorites

2014favoriteholidaybrunchrecipesI think I have mentioned a few times my love for entertaining. The holiday season definitely makes this quality of mine more prominent. Tomorrow we will be hosting a holiday brunch with a few of our closest friends in the area. My inspiration for the brunch will be to keep things simple and low-key, but I do hope to impress our guests with a few delicious recipes. This is not my menu, but some of these will definitely make an appearance tomorrow.1. Individual Leek & Goat Cheese Tarts: I'm a fan of breakfast tarts, and this recipe not only looks delicious, I'm sure it won't disappoint your guests.2. Mimosas: Tis' the season to drink and be merry. There are so many great versions out there - blood orange, pink grapefruit, or your usual orange. You pick! Serve them in stemless glassware such as these or these.3. Quiche: I love a quiche for entertaining. Make it the day ahead and reheat it in the oven. This recipe is one I worked with Arla Dofino.4. Bacon Egg Casserole: This one is always a crowd pleaser. It's delicious! I'll be serving a delicious version with sun-dried tomatoes and making it extra cheesy. Recipe coming soon and in our family we call it the Christmas egg casserole.5. French Toast: For your sweet-tooth guests, you can never go wrong with this recipe.6. Fresh fruit: It really goes without saying, but I always like having a bowl of fresh berries or any other fruit in season.7. Homemade Cinnamon Rolls: You will really impress your guests with this recipe. It's topped with a delicious brown butter vanilla frosting! For a twist I'm adding these chocolate-filled morsels.8. Breakfast Tart: A favorite Sunday breakfast in our family, but you could really feed a few people with this recipe.9. Baked Greek Eggs: Another Sunday favorite. Toast some bread and you'll have some happy guests.10. A Bagel Bar: Set up a bagel bar. I love this idea and will definitely use this in the future. On Saturday, however, I'll be serving our guests, smoked salmon on a cream cheese topped-bagel with dill, capers and red onion.I hope I can snap a few photos on Saturday morning to share with you here or on instagram. I'll try and be back this weekend with my Weekend Memo post. Have a fabulous weekend!Image 26
