Field of Peonies
As of last summer, visiting this peony farm was on my North Carolina must-visit list. And although it took a year for me to actually visit it, {as I was quite late in the peony season last year}, it was worth the wait. Walking among the field of peonies and being surrounded by these beautiful flowers felt so dreamy and it was definitely an experience I can describe as breathtaking. Seeing this field of peonies was a dream come true and I should add that I actually had to pinch myself a few times to make sure this was real life. These types of experiences are a main reason I don't mind moving so much. I get to see new places and I make sure to always make the best of anywhere we live.I know how lucky I am to live just minutes from this peony farm. If only I could have transported this field of peonies to my backyard. A girl can dream! Ha! I'll be sharing more later in the week.Where: Castle Hayne Farms, Castle Hayne, NCWhat: 7 acres of climate controlled greenhouses and nearly 30 acres of fields producing mostly Iris, Lilies, and Peonies.
