14 Days of Target Denim

I was recently invited to join the 14 days of Target Denim Challenge. For 14 days, I gave four new pairs of Target jeans a behind-the-scenes trial documenting my overall feelings about the fit, styles and quality of the new and improved denim. Being a denim snob, I was a bit skeptical about how they would fit, but upon receiving the denim and trying them on, I immediately had a few favorites. Yes, more than one! No lie! All of a sudden, I had a new favorite everyday denim, my favorite date night jeans, and my favorite summer jeans. The challenge proved to be easier than expected as I was excited to wear the jeans and come up with fun and different outfits for each day of the challenge. Ok, I'm not going to lie, some days I just repeated the whole outfit {up to this point I was still living out of a suitcase in a hotel}. So let me tell you more about the different types of jeans I wore in this challenge.Below are my honest reviews of the jeans I was given to try.
outfit details: Ray-Ban Classic Aviators {58 mm}, Madewell Off-The-Shoulder Top, Target High-Rise Skinny Denim {gifted}, J. Crew Market Tote, J. Crew Malta Sandals
They fit true to size and I loved the high-rise fit. The dark color makes it easy to dress up or down. I'm referring to them as the perfect everyday denim because it can take you from day to night with just a change of shoes and accessories. They'll definitely play double duty in my wardrobe.
outfit details: Heidi Merrick Bonita Cropped Top, Target High-Rise Flares {gifted}, J. Crew Corsica Leather Wedges {similar here}
Probably my least favorite because they made my hips look bigger than I like, but overall the denim is super soft. I wasn't a huge fan of the hem, but for the price you can easily have that detail adjusted to your liking. If you are a girl with small curves, I would totally give them a try as they are very on trend. I also found them true to size, but these tended to stretch out with wear, so if that would bother you then size down.
outfit details: Ray-Ban Wayfarers, Sophie Hulme Mini Envelope Bag, J. Crew Silk Sleeveless Top, Target Ripped Mid-Rise Skinnies {gifted}, J. Crew Elsie Suede Pumps
This pair was another favorite that will definitely be worn on dates with the hubby. The wash and the rips make this pair a winner for an edgy date night look. They fit like a glove and I also found them to be true to size. They accentuate your behind in all the right ways.
outfit details: J. Crew Panama Hat, Ray-Ban Pink Mirrored Aviators, Glamorous Off-The-Shoulder Summer Lace Top {sold out, similar here, on sale}, Target Straight Jeans {gifted}, J. Crew Corsica Leather Wedges {similar here}, Mansur Gavriel Bucket Bag
At my first try, these were my absolute favorite pair. They fit true to size, the denim is super soft, and I love that they look like a skinnier boyfriend jean. They also make my curves a little less pronounced. I cuffed them and paired them with wedges or flat sandals, and for that reason, I ended up wearing these jeans the most.I invite you to try Target's new denim line that features affordable and fashionable jeans for all shapes and sizes and let me know what you think. I hope you become a fan like I did! And starting July 26th, you can try them in the store to receive $10 off.
