As I mentioned in my previous post, our staycation at The Raleigh couldn't have been more perfect. It's such a beautiful, iconic hotel with the best customer service. {Thank you Fernando!} If you stop by, make sure you tell Fernando I sent you. Upon finding out that it was our anniversary week, he surprised the hubby and I with a bottle of rosé and chocolate-covered strawberries. It was the sweetest thing!Where: The Raleigh, 1775 Collins Avenue, South Beach, MiamiWhat: A staycation to celebrate our wedding anniversary and to search for the perfect home {and we found it!}How: We drove here, but if you fly in, get cab service to the hotel. You are walking distance from the beach, Lincoln Road Mall, and great restaurants. You can easily get around by bicycle.Where to eat: The hotel offers a martini bar {a must!}, a pool bar, coffee bar, and a Michael Schwartz restaurant. What to eat and drink: My favorites included the Shishito Peppers, the guacamole and chips, and the fish tacos. For drinks, my favorites are the #BeLegendary Martini from the Martini Bar, and the Esther Williams Cocktail from the pool bar. What to do: Take advantage of the beach and take a spot under one of the beach umbrellas. Sit poolside and enjoy the iconic pool and casual atmosphere. Sit under a canopy and read a favorite new book or magazine. Enjoy brunch or lunch at the restaurant {we preferred the outside area}. And make sure you set your alarm to go watch a beautiful Miami sunrise.Other restaurants: Our favorite was definitely Cecconi's at Soho House, Casa Tua was a favorite for a romantic atmosphere, Cleo {just across from the hotel} for Mediterranean tapas-style dinner, Juvia for its views, and Icebox Cafe for brunch or lunch {my favorite was the Kale Ceasar Salad}.
