Camille Styles 7-Day Cleanse
After three weeks of missing my studio gym classes and spinning, I finally went back yesterday. I have no excuses for not going, other than dealing with a sick child and then spring break got in the way. Life happens and it's okay if my routine doesn't go according to plan, but I did miss going however. I'm so excited to be back at the gym, and feeling that muscle soreness makes me happy because I know the exercise is working.
And since I'm back at the gym and feeling good, I'm also starting the Camille Styles 7-Day Cleanse that just started yesterday. I'm planning to follow it right along with them. Although, I may switch up the menu, and do the spring rolls on Wednesday, because last night it was the Asian Sesame Chicken Salad for dinner, and I'll probably repeat it tonight again. I may also incorporate this grilled salmon with arugula and avocado salad to the menu that's a favorite of mine.
What I like about this cleanse is that it's not about deprivation or extreme like some cleanses can be. It's about nourishing my body with good, healthy nutrients, while also detoxifying it from refined sugars and breads.
Another thing I'm looking forward to is practicing the Japanese tradition of hara hachi bu, which means: eat until you are 80 percent full. Something I don't do enough. As Camille says, "this will involve making a conscious effort to eat slowly, put your fork down between bites and check-in with yourself to see if you’re still hungry."
Will you follow along?
