A Serendipitous Trip To Paris

After much thought and consideration regarding our summer vacation, we finally decided this past weekend on Paris. My heart is there and will always be there. And since I only managed to squeeze in 24 hours {more posts here and here} two years ago when I visited Morocco {more posts here, here, here and here}, I've been dying ever since to go back. We were originally planning to go next year for our 10th wedding anniversary, but when my aunt called to say she was visiting this summer for three whole weeks, we decided this summer was the year for Paris. Plus, she really pushed us to plan a getaway sans kids as she would be here for such a long time. I love that the trip just came about serendipitously.

So last night, we booked our flights, found an apartment, and I even managed to book a Lovers in Paris Portrait Session with the one and only, Katie Mitchell. I'm beyond excited to have professional photos of the hubby and I in Paris.

We of course celebrated with a glass of rosé that soon we will be on our way to the most romantic city of all.
