Weekend Memo No. 97

We take our Fridays seriously around here. And our weekends too! Seriously, every Friday, I feel like popping a bottle of champagne and celebrating TGIF! Why you ask? First, our whole family is together, but the most important is there's NO HOMEWORK. My son who's in second grade and 8 years old, gets about 2 hours of homework each night. And trying to get him to focus after a long day at school is nearly impossible. Seriously, when did 8-year-olds start getting so much homework? And when do you give them time to play, or a sport, or anything else? Anyway, Fridays are big here! Pizza night with a movie and yes there's wine too, because after a long week it is much needed.
