Boston Travel Diary
After the end of the 3-day high school reunion, we slowly made our way back to Boston, with a quick stop in Lenox. But once we arrived in Boston and checked in our Airbnb, we were utterly shocked to find our place trashed. It was our first horrible experience with Airbnb, but we managed to work out a full refund. We basically arrived in Boston with nowhere to stay. We endend up playing the hotel game. Thank goodness we managed to find a room at this California style hotel, The Verb Hotel. It was right next to Fenway Park and around the corner there was a by Chloe restaurant which made being a bit farther than we wanted ok.
The pool area at The Verb Hotel was definitely a favorite spot after exploring the city.
We visited Boston Common, a park that reminded me of central park in NYC {even though I've never been}. It was purple dandelion season and it was beautiful seeing them blooming not just at the public garden but all over the city.
I spotted this swan and immediately proceeded to get a few shots, but he kept going away. I think he was camera shy.
The new by Chloe in Fenway Park was so awesome. It's been a dream to go to the one in NYC, but this one will have to do.
Brunch and coffee at Tatte Bakery was an absolute must!
And the cupcakes from Sweet Bakery were so delicious I still crave them!
For dinner one night, we ate at Select Oyster Bar. The ichabod oyster were my favorite and the octopus dish.
I couldn't miss the Boston Public Library. It's so magnificent and full of history. It's probably one of my favorite places in Boston.
I've been dying to go into a Cuyana brick and mortar store, but sadly it was closed and I couldn't go in. I really want one of their hats.
We were in Boston for only a few days, and sadly I didn't get to everything on my to-do list. I'll have to leave that for our next visit.
