Gingham in Beaufort

We made it to South Carolina! Beaufort was on my list of places to explore since there are so many new-to-me places since the last time I visited, and we managed to do that first. We are here in South Carolina for a little more than week with a Berkshires/Boston trip in between, and we're ending our June travels in Savannah -- another favorite city!

While in Beaufort, we stopped for a proper southern breakfast at the new Lowcountry Produce Market and Cafe and I just adored the inside. It's so cute and southern!

I had scouted this place on instagram when I was researching places to visit, and when I saw the green interior, I knew I would wear this old and beloved J. Crew dress. So I packed it and it came with me. It gave me an excuse to wear my new favorite Talbots flats. Since I love ballet flats, I recently added these colorful ones that are perfect for the season. The best part, they are on sale.

And to give my basket bags a break this summer, I added this Netty bag to my collection. It's perfect for summer and the beach! Also, on my summer reading list is this new book, My Not So Perfect Life, that I've been hauling around with me just in case I get some time to read.

One of our favorite things to do while we visit is walk around the town and check out the old renovated houses. The hubby and I always dream of buying one of the historic houses and make it our dream home. Sigh! Definitely a dream that we daydream about every single time.
