Halloween At Home
Without much warning, I feel like Halloween snuck up on me. I had all these plans for the kids and while I did my best at going through the list, there were some things that were left until the last minute, some we didn't even get to, and some things just felt rushed. But here we are, the last day of October. So whatever was left out will just need to be added to next year's list. And next year, hopefully I'll do a better job at getting things done in time.
The house was simply decorated with some Pottery Barn Kids bats, along with last year's stick on bats from Target, and some pumpkins.
One thing we always find time for is our mummy sugar cookies. We also decorated a spooky gingerbread house that we bought from Trader Joe's.
We turned these Milano cookies into little tombstones and put them on top of brownies and our chocolate mousse.
And of course, we carved pumpkins with champagne, and made homemade pasta for a ghoulish bolognese sauce.
This book, The Wonderful Things You Will Be, for some reason always gets pulled this time of year. The kiddos love telling stories about the characters and they tell each other who they want to be.
And because who doesn't love Hocus Pocus. This year it just seemed fit that the kids dress up as Max and Danni Dennison from the movie. I mean since Andy is already behaving like a teenager. Ha!
Hope your October was full of Halloween fun!
Happy Halloween!
