As I prep my closet for a new season, I realized that one thing missing was a raincoat. A raincoat! I have a trench coat, but didn't have a raincoat, and that had to be resolved as we're about to enter the rainy season. More and more I find myself shopping at Talbots so I turned to see what options they had and just fell for the gingham lining on this raincoat. It's the little details! It will be the perfect layer for all of those spring showers to come.

And there are a few more things that caught my eye at Talbots: first, the heels I included in this post, and that I'm wearing here in the first photo; and second, this hearts and stripes shirt. I just thought that the combination of hearts and stripes was the cutest. I have a feeling that this shirt will be on repeat for the next month because it's so adorable and perfect for Valentine's Day season. I'm already planning my next outfit to pair it with either white denim or a white skirt. It would even be perfect with red bottoms.

And on Sunday, I traded my pajamas for this shirt and bow combo. Luckily, I remembered that I had leftover velvet ribbon from Christmas, and in the perfect shade of red to match the little hearts on my shirt. I'm pretty enamored with this look because what's cuter than a velvet bow, hearts and stripes combination?! Adding that bow was the perfect touch if I may say so myself.

I'm almost set for Valentine's Day. I'll probably wear this shirt since we don't really go out to celebrate. {We're more of the stay-in-order-sushi-type.} And tomorrow I'm getting a head start on my heart cookies because in three short weeks Valentine's Day will be here. I can't wait!
