NYC Travel Diary

Bonjour New York! I thought I could squeeze all photos into this post, but it turns out there's too many. Lol! So I'll have to split them up. Today's post will be more of a where to stay, go, shop, and where to eat kind of post.

Where to Stay

The Marlton Hotel is such a darling boutique hotel. It's quaint and charming with the prettiest French vibes. Small, but so perfect after a day of running around the busy city. It has a great lobby with a beautiful fireplace that even attracts New York residents. This place fills up no matter what night of the week it is. On a couple of nights, Noelani and I did just that -- we went down to the lobby by the fireplace and got comfy there working, editing photos, talking about our trip, and with a delicious dinner and wine to boot.

Where To Eat

La Mercerie Cafe

So there are like a million places to go eat at and unfortunately we only had time for a handful of them. But here's a tip, make reservations at least one month ahead of your trip.

While We Were Young

Known for its cocktails we had to celebrate here on the first night.

Claudette

On our first day, we lunched here right after we arrived from the airport. It was the perfect setting to catch up, unwind from the flight, and drink a couple glasses of rosé.

Lafayette Grand Café & Bakery

Once Upon A Tart

This was the cutest bakery for a morning coffee and pastry.

Ladurée SOHO

As I mentioned in my Ladurée post, this pain perdu can't be missed!

Not picture above, we also had tea time at Bergdorf's, dinner at Margaux {the restaurant inside the hotel}, and we sadly missed our reservations at Sel Rrose and Le Coucou.

Where To Go

Top of the Rock

On our last day, we woke up early to catch the first tour up to the Top of the Rock to see the most magnificent views of the city, and a view of the Empire State Building.

Walk around Fifth Avenue for the old architecture.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

This museum is one not to be missed. We could have literally spent all day there.

Some of the places on our list that we didn't get to go were Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge, The New York Public Library, and Grand Central Terminal. I guess those will be there for next time.

Where To Shop

In the SOHO District, you'll find some of the best designer stores.

Clare V.

Sézane

Sézane has the prettiest storefront and a cute sitting area for coffee.

Other favorites include Intermix and & Other Stories.

Hope this helps plan your next trip to NYC. Stay tuned for more photos of the trip.
