One year older, one year wiser!

My birthday was last week. I'm that much closer to turning the big 4-0! Gasp!! I know. Luckily, my genes seem to be delaying deep wrinkles. That or it's a good skin care routine. Also, no grey hair yet. Alright, I'm sounding like an old lady. Ha! But seriously, I'm trying to love all of my imperfections, and it should be that way no matter what age we are.

French baskets and French bistros make my heart sing!

So I may have driven the hubby a bit crazy with all of these photos, but really on the rare occasion we get out, I feel the need to document the event. Especially on my birthday, right?! And it's not hard to photograph this new French bistro. I feel like finally Miami is starting to get me. That or I'm starting to find my place in Miami. Or maybe, Miami is growing on me. It's probably a little bit of everything.

Oysters and rosé pair so well together. It happens to be one of our favorites, and they always make for a pretty photo.

We started with glasses of rosé on the courtyard, but with the humidity being so high lately, we quickly moved indoors. There's nothing quite like an air-conditioned room in Miami, unless you're by the beach or pool.

I dressed in this Club Monaco jumpsuit as the heat was scorching hot. It's a fairly new addition to my closet and I bought it to wear on my birthday. The best part, it was on sale. Also, I love that it matched the restaurant so well. I pulled my old J. Crew earrings and my birthday outfit was set. And I'm loving these sandals too much I need them in blue. The blue may have been better for this outfit, but I treat them as my new neutral sandal.

We've been enjoying leftover birthday cake. And we just ate the last piece, but that's actually good because now we have the hubby's birthday cake. We're 6 years, 6 days apart. So last night I hosted a dinner to celebrate him. We've been indulging way too much lately. It's time to get back to our healthy routines.
