Herbal Tea Turmeric Latte

I recently found this recipe in my search for turmeric recipes and I'm loving it. I shared it recently in my wellness account. On some mornings, I've been skipping my morning cup of jo and drinking this herbal tea instead. Or instead, I'll substitute my second cup of coffee with this lightly sweet turmeric latte. I know it may sound a bit unappealing, but it truly is lightly sweet and I'm loving the creaminess of the coconut milk and almond milk. I found a milk that combines both coconut and almond so I'm simplifying the recipe and just using that.

And just in case you need a refresher on the benefits of turmeric.

Black Pepper Turmeric Latte1/2 cup almond milk1/2 cup light coconut milk2 turmeric tea bags*, such as Traditional Medicinals Meadowsweet & Ginger1/2 tsp maple syrup, or sweetener of your choice, to tasteA few grinds of freshly black pepperA dusting of cinnamonCombine the coconut milk and almond milk and heat until just boiling. Pour over 2 tea bags and steep for 3 to 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags and add maple syrup to taste. Finish the latte with a bit of freshly cracked pepper and a dusting of cinnamon.*You could also try using 1 teaspoon ground turmeric and 1 teaspoon freshly ground ginger - steep it with the milks and then strain it before serving.
