Our Fall Bucket List
I'm so happy to be in a place where there truly is a fall season. So of course, we're taking advantage of all the fun fall activities. The weather has finally cooled down. It's sweater weather and I couldn't be more excited about it. Because we're new to the area, we're still trying to figure out our surroundings and where to go, but that won't stop us from checking off our fall bucket list.
Fall Bucket List
- Go apple picking
- Make an apple pie
- Attend a fall festival
- Decorate our front door with pumpkins and mums
- Read a classic kids novel to the kids. I'm thinking of Anne of Green Gables.
- Carve pumpkins
- Watch Hocus Pocus
- Start a gratitude journal
- Start planning a Friendsgiving
- Take a weekend road trip
We went to Larriland Farms in Maryland and I highly recommend it. There are apple and pear trees, you can pick in-season berries, and pick your own flowers and herbs. It's a pretty big farm with lots of space to do your own thing and for the kids to play.
I'm so glad the weather was nice and chilly and it was the perfect day for Ems to wear her new cape from Zara. It's so cute and the interior lining is the sweetest.
I'm definitely feeling it this fall. I'm so happy to be here, to experience this beautiful fall season, and for the holidays that are fast approaching. I'm looking forward to creating new memories and new family traditions. This time of year is my favorite and for good reason -- it truly feels like you can slow down a bit -- the shorter days I think force us too, and it's just such a magical time with all the holidays to look forward to. I know the kids enjoy it as much as I do, and I guess you could say that they are my reason I love this season so much!
I, of course, enjoy the cooler months to bake and cook, watch all of my favorite holiday movies, and pretty soon, you'll start hearing holiday music coming from our speakers. For my favorite apple pie recipe go here.
Happy Autumn!
