Hello everyone, it's Carolyn from tilly | maison. I am so happy to be here to share with you my favorite accessories (and a few that are still sitting patiently on my wish list). Thanks so much to Sara for having me!

When it comes to accessories, I am a firm believer in mixing hi-lo. I refuse to invest a lot of money in trends, and I like to mix up my collection with vintage pieces and more unique items from places like Etsy.

First up--jewelry. I'm actually not a huge jewelry girl, but there are a few pieces that I return to over and over. The necklace is an Irish claddagh necklace that was a gift from my boyfriend. He lived in Ireland for a while near the town where this jewelry originated. This symbol represents love, loyalty and friendship. I wear it on a pretty regular basis, and love all the thought behind it. The red ring was my mom's. I have no idea what kind of stone it is, or if it's even a real stone, but I adore the large setting and it's old world-y feel. The yellow earrings are from an Etsy shop, silverliningdecor. For me, they have become the stand-by go-to everyday stud. Sunny yellow can so be a neutral! And finally, the pink earrings are from Target. They look straight off of grandma's vanity and I love that about them.

This is E's gold lion coin necklace from EmersonMade. I had the honor of giving one away on my blog, and ever since, have been waiting to buy one for myself. By the time I decided to pull the trigger they were sold out! But now they're back, and this little beauty is in the mail and on its way to my doorstep. I have a little thing for lions (being a leo and all...) and engraved around it are the words “FIDUCIA, VIRTUS, AMPLITUDO," meaning “Confidence, Courage, Nobility of Soul.” I think it's a great (and beautiful) daily reminder.

This vintage enamel brooch was a gift I received after an internship at an art museum a few years ago. One of the women I worked with had a sister who collected antique jewelry. She selected this out of the entire collection for me and I think it's absolutely adorable. The Kendra Scott earrings were also a gift--I received them after being a bridesmaid for one of my dearest friends and they. are. gorgeous.
I am a bigtime flats girl. I love nothing more than a pair of skinny jeans and bright ballet flats in the spring. Currently I am wearing this bright persimmon pair as often as I can. They are from Old Navy, but are sooo comfortable. I also have a thing for skinny belts. Recently I've been hoarding them. The ones shown (from top to bottom) are Target, Target (I actually got it on clearance for about $3, it's a size XL, so i wrap it around double and actually like the look better!), J. Crew, Forever 21.

Scarves! Scarves! Scarves! I can't say enough about scarves. These are a few of my favorites from Gap and Anthropologie. Gap has done a great job at getting the rich, saturated colors right recently and I love the weight and size of these-absolutely perfect.

The chevron had to come out sometime! I find this little tote from Beklina to be adorable. The clutch is from the Limited, I believe. It's many years old and has gotten me through many cocktail parties. I love how sparkly it is without being garish. The black jewels are just perfect.

This is my latest bag and obsession--the Jericho tote from J.Crew in blue. I love the color (this photo does not do it justice), I love the pre-worn leather and I love how roomy it is (I'm in grad school, and this sucker can hold its fair share of books!). I can't get enough blue right now and this makes it easy every single day.

Now, a few of the things I'm coveting and have yet to actually purchase...

French Enamel Lockets at Beklina (which color to choose?!)
Anthro always has the most gorgeous statement necklaces. This is one of my current favorites.

Ok, more Kate Spade! More enamel! But these bow bangles are the cutest thing, don't you think?

That's it for me! Thanks again Sarah for hosting such a lovely series! It was so fun to share.
