Scenes from Our Weekend {& Purchases for the New House}

This past weekend was a busy and expensive one. I didn't get to relax much as I had planned.

I imagine that my life will be busy with new house stuff for a while which I am really enjoying.

We bought a few things for our new house and we also rewarded ourselves 

with a few things from J.Crew. We couldn't pass on their great sale.

We stopped at Pottery Barn to check out this sofa. We loved it so much we ordered it immediately

 in the metal gray color. Here are my boys testing it. They approved it! It gets delivered in mid-June.

 The next stop was J.Crew. I hadn't walked inside a store in a year or so. I felt right at home -

It truly is my favorite store. We walked away with a few purchases.

 Lowe's was another store we visited and I found these pendants for over the kitchen

counter. I loved the price, the size and the look. I was looking for these in this kitchen

and I think I did pretty well and under budget. Two of them will look great over the island.

Marshalls was also visited and we found the perfect little console table on clearance

that will get a color makeover (high gloss black) to look like the one in this picture. 

The hardware will also be changed.

We ended the weekend at the beach, only 5 minutes away from our future home.

The sky was spectacular. I hadn't seen it this beautiful in a while.

AJ had fun burying my swollen feet in the sand and picking up sea shells.

I am loving the Spring showers we have been getting almost every afternoon.

As a first time East Coast resident, I am truly enjoying life here for its magnificent skies, 

Spring weather, and its amazing scenery.
