Updates to the Entryway

You may remember that I started the year hanging this set of frames in our entryway. I had visions of adding a bench to the space to make it more welcoming and primarily serve the purpose of being a seat to put on and take off the kiddos' shoes. At a recent outing to Home Goods, this bench was marked down to $60 and I didn't have to think twice about this purchase. I gave you a sneak peek of this space on instagram recently.
Keep reading to see more pictures of the space.

Below is a closer look of the fabric paired with the gold frames.
I love the floral pattern as it is more on the traditional side and what I love most is how the colors of the fabric tie with the frames and the black and white pictures. Some of you have asked about the frames and this is the link to the frames, but they seem to be sold out. The frames are 18 x 18, the photos are 5 x 7, and I had the custom mats done at Michaels in case you are wondering.
And to give you an idea of how the space flows with the rest of the house, here are a couple of more pictures. There are a lot of natural textures and tones with pops of green. I love traditional style with a modern twist to make it seem less formal.
In this photo below, you see a peek of the breakfast nook.
The light fixture in the breakfast nook will eventually be replaced.
And in this photo you can see a peek of my wingback chair in the family room.
It feels good to cross off a project from my 2013 list {see this list and this post}. Up next is to finish styling the bookshelf built-ins in the family room and hopefully soon show you the progress of that room.
These are all iPhone photos and I apologize for my lack of quality photos. I need to invest in a good camera.
