Happy Reading & Happy Weekend
I am loving this cooler weather but there's something in the air that's making my allergies go crazy. My normal dose isn't working and let me just say that it's not fun spending time outdoors when as soon as my nose hits the air, I start feeling the effects of my seasonal allergies. Anyway, here are some links that I loved this week:
+ New-to-me blog and French at that: B Comme Bon, a food blog. If you have google chrome, you can easily hit translate to english. I have been enjoying reading it and seeing her food and plan on making some of her recipes soon. A recipe from her I am adding to my holiday cookie mix is the Butterbredeles. I already have a delicious German cookie recipe in my mix, and I am thinking the French one will be just as good. I am actually baking these today with the kiddos in a pumpkin shape. I am sure they won't disappoint, unless somehow I screw it up. If they turn out well, I will surely post them on my instagram.
+ DIY: Kelly made a fabulous inspiration board. You can see it here and in case you need tips on styling one, I had some tips in this post this week.
+ On instagram: I have been enjoying living through Deb's adventures of cooking through Europe. I am talking about the lady behind the smitten kitchen. Find her on instagram here and her blog here.
+ Entertain: We have a bbq this weekend to go to and I am making this autumn wheat berry salad.
+ Cook: On my dinner menu next week, is this Coq au Riesling recipe. I am thinking of serving it next to a side of this.
+ Read: The Southerner's Handbook: A Guide to Living the Good Lifeis currently on my wish list. And I must say, it would make such a nice coffee table book.
+ Organize/Storage: When office space is tight, which in my case it is, try placing your computer monitor on top of a stack of magazines like in this picture. I may just end up doing this.
+ Buy: This picture and this one, made me finally pull the trigger on this necklace using the recent promo code. It's a simple statement necklace that I am sure will get a lot of use come the entertaining and holiday season. It's so funny, how one simple picture, or two in this case, will make you do something you've been avoiding.
Anyway, I am sure I could go on and on, but tell me what stories or links did you enjoy this week? I am so interested to know. Share in the comments section below. And can we talk about how this is the last weekend in September. Really? Seriously.
Have a fabulous weekend!
