Beach Essentials

With summer days upon us, we have been taking advantage of living so close to the beach. And on days where we all need a break, I'll pack up the car with a few essentials and make our way to the water. The kiddos love it of course, and even though I'm an Arizona girl, I grew up going to the beaches in California to escape the summer heat, so beach time is dear to my heart. On short or impromptu beach trips we usually don't pack our suits, but I'm beginning to think we need to. Here are my short/impromptu essentials:

1. Easy snacks and drinks. I'm loving these Kozy Shack rice pudding for the kiddos. I love that they only have six healthy ingredients and no artificial preservatives, gluten-free, and a good source of calcium!
2. SPF. I'm loving this one from CeraVe for the kids as you can apply or reapply on wet skin.
3. Hats for myself and the kiddos. J. Crew Panama Hat shown above and for the kids, Gap is my source.
4. Beach towels. The one shown is from Nine Space x J. Crew, and I love the Serena & Lily beach towels too.
5. Beach umbrella, optional, I really want this one.
6. Sunglasses. Classic Ray-Bans are my favorite and they are currently on sale 25% off at Nordstrom.
7. Magazine. The new issue of Domino is so good and I truly enjoyed it.
8. A bucket of beach toys to make sand castles.
9. A big tote to throw it all in.
