On The Hunt: The Perfect Tortoise Sunglasses

tortoisesunglasses1 tortoisesunglasses2 tortoisesunglasses3 tortoisesunglasses4By now you've seen these new sunglasses on the blog and instagram. But let me share one thing with you, I despise shopping for sunglasses. I stick to my classic Ray-Ban aviators for a reason. But for some time now, I have been wanting a pair of tortoise sunglasses. So weeks before my trip, I stopped by my local sunglass shop as I was on a mission to take with me something else in addition to my beloved aviators. I tried several big designer brands of sunglasses and none worked for me. I really wanted them to work, but I knew if I didn't love the way they looked on my face, I would never wear them. So I widened my search. The classic Ray-Ban Wayfarer style didn't work either. I have an oddly shaped face - oval and a bit small. Then one day, reading a blog I found a link to these. Discouraged, I ordered them as I knew the sunglasses would probably need to be returned. They arrived and to my surprise I loved them! They are perfect size and shape, and the color was just what I was looking for. They also look and feel a lot more expensive than they are. My only complaint is that they come without a case, and I found them to be poorly packed. They arrived in excellent condition thanks to this sweater I ordered which provided some padding. The hunt is over thank goodness and hopefully it will be a couple of years until I need to do this again.Shop the post:Banana Republic Margaux Sunglasses, J.
