Packing {For Morocco & Paris}

inmysuitcase One of the reasons I'm showing you what I'm packing to Morocco and Paris is because I love to see what other people pack, and if you are like me, then you might be curious as to what I'm packing. The other reason is because I'm having too much fun playing with my camera on manual mode. So let's get to today's topic. And as you will see, I'm not a light packer. moroccothings paristhings One of my favorite tips for attacking the stressful endeavor that packing can be is using a garment rack. I hang what I plan on packing and it helps me visualize my outfits and easily figure out if I'm missing a key piece. A garment rack is also helpful in featuring your signature items for a particular season. I've been using mine all year for that and I love it.

For this trip, my packing list began way back in early July or maybe even earlier. I was especially stressing because both destinations, Morocco and Paris, are quite different. For Morocco, I made sure to pack pieces with embroidery, long and short dresses, sandals, and a fringe leather crossbody bag. For Paris, I wanted a more polished and chic look so I packed a blazer {as an extra layer and to dress up my basic outfit if needed}, black skinnies, my new favorite swing sweater, the most perfect ballet flats that scream Paris to me, and a black/navy crossbody bag that offers enough room for the essentials. As far as jewelry is concerned, I'm going with simple dainty pieces. I love using handbag dust bags {such as the Celine above} for storing small items when packing.

As you can see, I kept my color palette pretty neutral and basic with black, navy, grey, blues and white. The colorful towns of Morocco will definitely make up for my not so colorful wardrobe, but I did pick two colorful shorts for my trip during one of J. Crew's recent sales, these shorts and these. While in Paris I hope to fit right in with my monochromatic look.
