Weekend Memo
Happy Thursday! I decided to sign off early this week as I have to tackle a few things before I head out this weekend. I'll leave you with a photo from last weekend's grocery shopping trip. Let me share something about grocery shopping. I usually love to grocery shop. I actually make a couple of trips each week, but Friday's are my favorite day of grocery shopping. Not only are the aisles usually pretty empty, but my grocery store also restocks their flowers and magazines in the morning, and as a junkie magazine hoarder and a lover of fresh blooms, well you understand my reasoning for wanting to stop by on Fridays. It's those little things that make my day. Last Friday the flower lady had a single bouquet of the most perfect color of pastel lilac roses which I had never seen there before so obviously I had to pick them up. I'll usually continue with my grocery shopping list and stop by the magazine aisle last. When I walked over to the magazine aisle I immediately spotted the new Porter cover. The colors really stuck out from the rest. I should really just subscribe to the magazine and save some money, but it has become sort of my ritual. Happily enough my lilac roses complimented the magazine. I love when that happens. I'm a total nerd to things like that. So I took a photo and welcomed August that way. Anyway, It's been a busy week. I've been getting ready for the trip and finishing up a few on-going projects before heading out of town this weekend. I actually have butterflies in my stomach thinking about seeing the hubby again. It's been since April since I saw him last and I can't wait to explore Morocco with him.Weekend MemoFrequently asked questions . . . I'm loving the new entertaining collection, but this platter is at the top of my list.On the hunt . . . for the perfect tortoise sunglasses and finally I found the perfect pair {which remind me of these} that work for my oddly-shape face. I'll have a post dedicated to the sunglasses soon where you'll be able to see more pictures.Traveling in heels . . . catching up on one of my favorite blogs, I read a post where she mentioned that she always travels in heels. And as she said, aren't you sitting for the next 11 hours? I have to say, I completely agree. But let me preface that with saying, if I was traveling with the kiddos, I would think twice about traveling in heels.Genius travel tip . . . Yes another one! I learned a new trick for packing hats. It really is genius!Pajama-perfection . . . after hearing about these pajamas from both Caitlin and Juley I stopped by my local Target to try them on. I wanted something in a short for Morocco as the temps are in the upper 90's and low 100's. They are the softest pajamas and they are a steal under $20. Ali introduced me to Maison du Soir and now I'm hooked. Their fall items will be launching soon and I can't wait to snag something new for the cooler months.Signature scent . . . For the longest time, I've been loyal to Chloe, but I'm thinking a change is needed.
