Travel Style

craftandcoutureI can always count on Therese for outfit inspiration. As she recently quoted "Minimalism is not the lack of something. It's simply the perfect amount of something" {words by Nicholas Burroughs}. And I think that's how you can describe her style. Perfectly simple, but without a lack of elegance. And in my movement to simplify {& here}, I'm leaning towards that direction as well. For my travel outfit tomorrow, inspired by Therese, I'll be wearing something very similar. Here are some things I usually carry-on with me:Trench coatIt's classic, yet chic and versatile.Magazines/Books/Notebook & PenTo keep me company on the plane.Sleep MaskFor those overnight and long flights.Comfortable shoesThese booties are just perfect for traveling. Not only are they stylish, but comfortable too.Dark denimBlack or dark denim looks more polished. I'll also choose a neutral palette to keep my outfit simple and classic.PassportIt goes without saying, but if you are traveling international don't forget your passport.HeadphonesMy iPhone 5S headphones fill the role just fine. I don't need any fancy headphones.ScarfA basic layer and this one is extra wide so it can be used as a light blanket if needed.Cashmere sweaterI'll throw one in inside my leather tote in case I need an extra layer, especially on overnight flights.Simple jewelryI prefer to go simple and with dainty pieces that won't bother me after hours of traveling.Caffeine & SnacksAn espresso gives me the right amount of boost I need to get through the airport and security. I've become addicted to Kind bars so I'll make sure to have some in my leather tote as well and a small bag of raw almonds.CameraTo document the trip from the airport, there, and back. What I'll be wearing:Trench Coat, J. Crew Striped Tee, Ray-Ban Aviators, Rag & Bone High Rise Skinnies in Coal {order a size down}, Rag & Bone Newbury Booties in dark brown {order 1/2 size up} {on sale here}, Louis Vuitton Speedy Bag, Cuyana Tote, Love Quotes Scarf[show_shopthepost_widget id="199876"]image by Craft & Couture
