Weekend Memo

Happy weekend! We made it to the pumpkin patch on Friday as there was no school for some fall fun. We picked up a few pumpkins to place on our mantle like you see above. We dressed the part for fall weather, but fall weather it was not. After a while we needed to shed some layers. I hope the photos I took came out okay to share soon. I'm definitely in the spirit of all things fall and holiday. I'm getting even more excited as stores get their seasonal decor out and the grocery store bookshelves fill up with festive magazine covers. I've been brainstorming all things Thanksgiving, like our tablescape and dinner menu and yes even a bit of Christmas. And I'm glad I am because some of the things I found had to be shipped from Australia. And this weekend I'll be starting on a recipe for Christmas, but get this, you need to prepare the filling weeks in advance. So yes, I'm definitely enjoying all things holiday-related and I'm deep into the spirit of fall. This rainy morning we even decorated a haunted gingerbread house for Halloween.
