Weekend Memo

treetrimming_AJ_EMS2We are now completely in the hustle of the holiday season. We picked up the Christmas tree yesterday and we had a small Christmas card photo session. Above is a sneak peek and I'll be sharing more photos next week. I'm happy to say that I'm 99% done with my Christmas shopping and about 50% done with wrapping. And today I'm heading up to Raleigh with a friend to finish the rest and visit some of my favorite stores. I'm excited to see the window displays at Anthropologie and do some shopping at West Elm and Crate and Barrel. It's my favorite time of year and I'm getting sad already that it's coming to an end soon. The weather this weekend calls for rain and I'm planning to make the best of it. I'll be making some hot chocolate, pulling out all of my festive decor and decorate the tree, and somewhere in between I'll be making gingerbread cookies and making the dough of our favorite Christmas cookies to freeze. I freeze the dough so that within the next two weeks all I have to do is defrost it and then shape and bake the cookies. It really is a time saver as I make several different types of dough. As I'm in the kitchen baking and cooking, and decorating the house, I'm so excited the hubby will start painting the master bedroom. I can't wait to give you a preview next week and share the color we chose. It will be a busy, but fun weekend.Don't forget to follow along on instagram to see what I'm up to today.Weekend MemoHow to master the shoe selfie . . .
