Paris in August
So this is finally part two of my Paris travels from last August. It only took me several months to get to them, but I had to share them with you. Better late than never right?Paris in August was a bit deserted. It's the time that locals flee the city as it fills up with tourists. And I was one of them, a first-time tourist wandering the streets by myself. The downside to visiting in August is that a lot of shops and cafes close up for the entire month, but the weather was perfect and it made up for that. And I found that wandering the Parisian streets by myself felt more like a dream - a-pinch-me kind of dream. It really was an unforgettable day and one I will cherish forever as cheesy as that may sound.Today happens to be National Macaron Day and it just seemed appropriate to share some photos of Laduree. My short 24-hour jaunt in Paris has me daydreaming of the next trip to the City of Lights. Hopefully, for our 10-year wedding anniversary coming up soon. You can read about my Paris travels here.
