Packing List: The Raleigh Hotel, South Beach Miami

In just a few days, we will start our new adventure in Miami - beginning with a staycation at The Raleigh Hotel for our wedding anniversary while the kiddos spend some good quality time with their grandparents. I'm calling it a "staycation" because although we still don't have a home, we are Miami residents now. Yep at this point, we are homeless and living out of a suitcase. How fun is that?! But celebrating our wedding anniversary, something we really haven't done in years, and staying at this iconic hotel will more than make up for it. While we are there, we will also start looking for a place to call home.

We are combining business with pleasure during our stay, and I have a feeling house hunting will take its toll. I should know since this will be the fourth move in six years. But I'm not complaining. Miami should be fun and I'm so excited to live in a big city again.

Here's what we have planned while at the The Raleigh Hotel:

- Explore South Beach via bicycle or a moped during the day

- Enjoy the iconic pool at the hotel

- Cocktail evenings poolside

- Sit under one of the beach umbrellas for some much needed relaxation

- Watch the gorgeous Miami sunsets

I can't wait to settle into our room, take in the balmy ocean breezes, and witness those gorgeous Miami sunsets. And of course celebrate our wedding anniversary.
