New Instagram Features
I love discovering new tools in regards to my social media apps, and I love sharing what I learn in my taking care of business series. And this weekend as I was checking my Instagram feed, I noticed a few major changes. My favorite change was the support for images in formats other than square. You can now upload, if you choose to, a portrait or landscape image or video. When they appear on your feed, they will appear in their rectangular version. However, they will appear in square format in profile grids, but will expand to full-size when viewed. To learn how to upload an image in rectangular format keep reading below. In pink text with arrows above, I've indicated for you where to find the new non-square tool. When you first upload your photo, click on the non-square tool to upload a rectangular photo, and then click next to go through your normal steps. This change is effective from version 7.5 of the app. I like how much more creative control the user now has with this update. In the past, the vast majority of my photos were taken in the square format, but with this change, I will be switching to full-size.You can read the articles below to find out more about the recent changes.Biggest ever photo changes - ForbesNew layout format {shown above with pink text and arrow} - Instagram BlogRevamps to direct messaging - ForbesMake sure you have the most recent update to take advantage of these changes.
