A Girl's Night In
My husband travels a few times a month and on those nights, I either turn them into a movie night with the kids {as long as it's not a school night} or a girl's night in for me. And those nights usually always include getting in my pj's by 7pm, homemade pizza, wine, a cozy throw {I sometimes use my blanket scarves}, and a good show. On one of his recent trips, I stumbled upon the Hallmark series and now movie series, Signed, Sealed, Delivered. I'll tell you something about me, I love romantic, light-hearted, and sometimes cheesy chick flicks and this series fits my criteria. During one of his weeks away, I watched every past episode and movie of this series. I'm already looking forward to the next movie.And guess what, I now have the perfect wine to pair with the series and my pizza. It's called Dead Letter Office Shiraz. And this is why the wine is perfect. The team {The Postables} from this series work for the United States Post Office in the Dead Letter Office division. So you see how appropriate it is! And yes I can be kind of nerdy. Ha! I actually found this wine catching up on the latest Food & Wine magazine, where Shonda Rhimes mentions she used to spend her evenings with a wine-and-popocorn tradition {just like Olivia in Scandal - another show I watch}, and that was her wine of choice.
