I partnered with Target this season to get the word out about their festival style with two new, fresh vibes - festival gone decorated and festival gone moody. For my decorated look, I chose an embroidered romper, and for my moody look, this suede dress was a no-brainer. What I loved about working on this collaboration is that it forced me to get out of my comfort zone and truly embrace the boho-chic trend. If only I were truly going to Coachella. I pulled these two looks that would not only be appropriate for a festival, but that I would also completely feel like myself in -- just a bit cooler. Ha!

When I think of festival dressing, a mix of bohemian meets western comes to my mind. So I gathered inspiration from some of my favorite festival goers to style these looks. And I have to say, I could wear these looks any day of the week without needing to attend a festival. The pieces in these looks could also give my current wardrobe more mileage. This denim vest will look great over a white summer dress. The romper would look cute with a pair of sandals for a casual brunch. And going strong this season are the saddle bag and suede anything.

The hubby and I ventured into South Beach one Saturday morning to shoot these festival looks. It's always more fun when I get to mix business with pleasure. So we made a day of it, and enjoyed a cup of coffee and lunch on the bay.
