A Mother's Day Pajama Brunch
Somehow and with the help of my friends, I managed to host an impromptu pajama brunch on Mother's day. A couple of our hubbies were traveling away and I decided on the very last minute to not let the day go unnoticed. I felt we all deserved a morning of eating great food, drinking some bubbly rosé, and a good girl talk. So I hosted this beautiful brunch for my beautiful momma friends.
The pajama idea grew out of a conversation I was having with one of my friends. I shared with her that I wanted to host this brunch since my hubby was away, but then I said, "what if I just want to stay in my pajamas all day?" So she said, "then do a pajama brunch!" "Yes, yes," to that I responded. Genius idea! As I'm never one to turn down hosting an event, our Mother's Day brunch became a pajama brunch. The girls loved it!
To keep things simple, I set out a bagel bar with delicious toppings {smoked salmon, avocado slices, red onion, radishes, cream cheese, fresh dill, and capers}, this fresh strawberry rhubarb with mint salad, a homemade coffee cake, bubbly rosé, and donuts of course.
A couple of champagne bottles later and with our fill of delicious food and desserts, we talked, laughed, and some of us {read me} may have even gotten teary eyed. But they were tears of happiness to be surrounded by such beautiful friends, mothers, neighbors, and good-hearted ladies. I feel so blessed to have found them and to have their constant support.
A belated happy Mother's Day to all of you beautiful mommas out there!
