Today, I want to introduce you to an inspiring momma, Shannon Pulsifer, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and new mom. Just recently, she made the brave transition from full-time therapist to full-time blogger. She's the voice and style maven behind Itsy Bitsy Indulgences where she shares about fashion, balanced living, and life with Harper, her 4-month-old daughter.

I invited Shannon to participate in my Q & A series, Mommies Behind the Blog, and share with us her experiences in motherhood.

1. How has your style evolved from day to day since you had Harper?

Since becoming a mom, my style has become much more practical. Before having Harper, I would reach for heels and dresses without reservation. Since having her, I opt for more versatile, practical, and stylish pieces. My go-tos include distressed denim, cute tops, and a pair of shoes that can be both dressy and casual. I love cute sandals, a comfortable pair of sneakers, and espadrilles for the coming summer months.

2. Where do you and Harper go to for fun?

She is still pretty young, but I love taking her down to the beach for a run or a walk. or we will go grab lunch with some friends at favorite spots. I am looking to enroll the both of us in a mommy and me music class, as well as a mommy and me yoga class.

3. Your favorite thing to do when you have time alone?

I love to get in a nice long run, read a book, or peruse the mall.

4. Favorite go-to store for kids toys/clothes?

Oh, I don't think I could choose just one! There are the big name stores that I love such as Nordstrom, Old Navy, and Gap... but then there are the smaller, online boutiques too... freshly picked (well, they're pretty big), royal + reese, KRZA, and so many more.... you can find so many on instagram.

5. What's your biggest challenge with blogging full-time and being a mommy?

I've found the biggest challenge to be separating work from home. Since so much of blogging can be done at home, it's hard to turn it off, and I can sometimes feel guilty putting her down so I can complete a post or return some e-mails. At the same time though, I couldn't feel more blessed that I have this opportunity, as it also allows for so much flexibility.

6. Your favorite book to read to Harper?

I love "The Pout-Pout Fish." The illustrations are so cute, and the message is adorable too!

7. What's a current goal you are working towards?

I'm working on not worrying so much. To just "let be and let God," so to speak. It is so crazy how much I worry about how "things" will turn out. When I ultimately look back I can see how all the pieces added up to where I am right now (I know that sounds so cliche but it's the truth).

8. Three things you can't live without?

Chapstick, Justin's Honey Peanut Butter (I could eat the whole jar in one sitting if I allowed myself to!), and a good pair of shoes.

9. What words do you live by?

The harder you work, the luckier you get!

10. What advice would you give a new mom?

It does get easier. I remember being so overwhelmed with the demands of transitioning from being childless to a mom. I felt like the sleepless nights and feeling like I wasn't doing something right would never end. Everyone told me "just give it at least 3 months." To me that felt like forever, yet in reality, the words were so true. In hindsight, I wished I hadn't worried so much and had enjoyed the process more (see, there's that whole worrying thing again....).

Thank you Shannon for sharing these beautiful photos and participating in this Q & A. To see more of Shannon and Harper, follow along on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest.
