Beach Picnic Essentials

Hello summer break, we meet again. Now that summer break is upon us, you'll probably see us at the beach more frequently. Last Thursday marked the first trip of the season, and we welcomed the first beach picnic of the summer on Saturday -- the first beach picnic of more to come. It's become my favorite activity of the summer even though sometimes it can feel like more work for me. But regardless, I enjoy packing up our picnic basket and creating wonderful memories with our kiddos.

I packed our trusty outdoor essentials because in this heat you need good containers that keep your liquids cold and fresh. I love using our Stanley products for all of our outdoor excursions -- boating, fishing, and even picnic-ing because they actually keep liquids cold for hours. I usually pack a lemonade or sweet tea in the growler and water in the vacuum mug.

AJ found a crab while playing in the water so of course we had to document the moment. He was so brave to hold it.

This rocky spot on the beach has become a new favorite. The rocks provide a new stomping ground for the kids to play and explore. And I actually think they are quite photogenic against the aqua blue water and give photos a new dimension of fun.

Beach Picnic Essentials

1. First and foremost, don't forget to apply and pack your sunscreen.

2. Pack good containers that keep your liquids cold, such as this Stanley Classic Vacuum Growler, Stanley Classic One Hand Vacuum Mug, and Stanley Adventure Stainless Steel Shot Glass Set. By the way, these make great Father's Day gifts.

3. A hat to shade you from the sun.

4. Sunglasses to protect your eyes.

5. A big blanket to keep your drinks and food sand-free.

6. Picnic-friendly foods such as sandwiches or pasta salads.

7. Cold water! The growler or the mug will keep it cold for hours.

8. Utensils, plates and napkins. This is one I tend to forget most of the time so now I keep some in my picnic tote before I store it.

9. Towels.

10. Lastly, beach toys for the kiddos {not shown}.
