My Life: 10 Lessons Learned
First, I apologize for being MIA from the blog. As you may have noticed, we were in Paris. Aside from being a bit jet lagged, I've had the pleasure of family visiting and thus life has been a bit busy.
But let's get to today's post. Our recent trip made me appreciate life, and its ups and downs that come along with it. I truly believe that there are secret opportunities hidden inside every failure, and that's how I try to see life when things don't go my way.

So when Wente Vineyards approached me to share my lessons learned along the way in my life, I jumped at the opportunity to collaborate with them. Not only do I believe in their story, I'm a fan of their brand and wines.
So what are the lessons that I've learned? Here are my 10 lessons learned.
1. Aim high, but limit expectations. Almost always, I tend to create high expectations in my head which sometimes makes it hard to enjoy life when those expectations aren't met. At the same time, I set goals and aim high.2. Celebrate the small victories. However little those little victories are, I try to give myself a pat on the back and enjoy them.3. Find inspiration in my daily life. Life can be beautiful if we choose to see it that way, so I try to find inspiration whichever way I can. For example, little escapes such a picnic and reading a book or a magazine can leave me feeling refreshed and inspired.4. Write goals on paper. I find that they come true when I write things down. It's like making a written commitment with myself that I will follow through with my goals.5. Perseverance pays off. I try to not give up on something I really want. If I fail, I try again. Eventually, I'll get it. Don't lose faith.6. Be present. I know for me {and most moms} this one is a hard one. But there's no substitute for spending quality time with your loved ones.7. The worst they can say is no. If I approach a company I want to work with, I go with the mindset that the worst they can say is no, but if I never ask I'll never know right?8. Enjoy the journey to success. Without a doubt, there will be speed bumps along the way, but I try and see the best in my own failures.9. Learn from my mistakes. Unfortunately, mistakes are a part of life. I try to reflect on my mistakes and learn my lesson.10. Do not compare my life/myself to others. This one is probably the most important. And with social media, it can be easy to go down the path of "I'm not good enough." We all have our own individual path to take and make. And here's an extra one for you: Energy follows thought. Choose to be happy and good things will come my way.Share with your audience what inspires you about this journey on a daily basis, and weave in the creative expression that the Wente family puts into each of their wines.
