Gingham in Paris
The minute we arrived in Paris we knew our first stop would be the Eiffel Tower, but not before we made a stop at La Grand Epicerie to grab some picnic essentials -- a bottle of wine, a baguette, cheese, fresh cherries, and slices of chorizo. It seemed like the best way to celebrate our arrival.
Since we flew overnight, a quick change of outfits once we arrived was completely necessary. I chose this J. Crew gingham cotton dress to beat the Paris heat wave. I almost didn't pack the dress as we had heard rumors that Paris was having an unusual cold summer, but I'm so glad I did!

The late sunsets were a favorite. I couldn't believe how late the sun would set, around 10 pm. It only made our days longer which merited late dinners and walks along the Seine. The perfect ending to each day in Paris.
Our first night, we took a walk around our square, Odeon Square, to get acquainted with our neighborhood and we stumbled upon this Italian gem, Margherita. Although not a French restaurant, we decided on giving it a try on our second night because once I spotted the blue exterior and green chairs, I knew I would have to wear my gingham dress for a second time.
We enjoyed a delicious pizza and truffled pasta with a glass of rosé. Make sure you add this place to your list next time you're in Paris!
