New Updates in the Kids' Room

Ever since we decided to room the kids together I've had a hard time decorating their room. Especially because Ems just loves pink and girly things. I've even wondered whether I should turn the guest room into Andy's room, but anyway I think they'll be sharing a room for the short remainder of our time left here in Miami -- because just one and a half years left before our next move!

So I've tried to keep somewhat of a color pattern and give them both what they like. No easy feat! But I like how their matching striped Ikea bedding ties their room together.

And I'm keeping this cute reindeer pillow for just a bit longer. I'm not quite ready to put it away because it really doesn't look like Christmas decor, does it? I think the hearts sheets balance it all for Valentine's day.

So in came a new rug in pretty blues, which I think is pretty gender neutral and matches their bedding. And their room is finally coming together, but not quite done. It always feels good to do a refresh at home come the new year.
