Summer is here and that means more time to host parties and entertain. I dream about hosting the perfect summer soirée all year round -- al fresco cocktails and dinner with family and friends. That's what summer is about!

I was super excited when Wente reached out again for another partnership. It gave me the perfect excuse to create this simple al fresco dinner -- a perfect little summer soirée.

There was not much planning involved here. Which is the best part, because during the warmer months, the least thing I want to do is to make hosting a party elaborate. I kept things simple by setting a bowl with lemons as my centerpiece, adding a linen tablecloth to the table to make it just a bit more fancy, some nice plates and glasses, and I added romance by lighting some candles.

Once sunset came, we were ready to drink and eat by candlelit. Good company, good food, and some good bottles of Wente made the night even more special.

Making moments like these with family and friends is my favorite. I love how summer days seem to linger, time even seems to slow down, and there's more time to have fun. I live for moments like these! I'll definitely have to do it again!
