Fourth of July Weekend
What a wonderful fourth of July weekend! It started with a staycation in Hallandale with Ana and her family -- two days of pure bliss at the beach and pool. Balmy sunsets, poolside cocktails, and some vitamin D was exactly what we needed to start the holiday weekend.
The trip was sort of last minute and I didn't have much time to plan what to wear, but I had recently added this outfit from the Zara sale so in it went in my bag. I also found the exact style here if you're interested. I normally don't do yellow, but it seemed like the perfect summer addition to my wardrobe and I can tell it will be on repeat all summer long. Now I just need to add these sandals.
For the fourth, we were invited to my friend's parents house. I took this yummy plate of fresh watermelon and the sweetest cherries, because it's not the fourth of July unless there's watermelon and cherries. I also made Ina's French Apple Tart which is always a big hit. We ate Cuban burgers, hot dogs, and the kids spent all day at the pool. And in fourth of July tradition, we ended the night watching the fireworks with sparklers in hand, and homemade ice cream. It probably was our favorite fourth of July celebration to date.
I hope you had a beautiful holiday!
