Late Summer Picnic
One of my goals this summer was a mommy/daughter picnic. And as this is the last week of summer break, we took advantage of one late afternoon to sit out and enjoy chatting about what the new school year will look like as Ems is excited to start kindergarten. We talked about making new friends, having new teachers, and as I requested she gave me some ideas of what to pack in her lunch box. Watermelon was suggested. Ha! We also talked about our favorite summer memories.
Some watermelon slices, a few cans of Perrier, and our blanket was all we needed.
These moments are so precious, and I'm learning that it's my job to create moments like these.
This was our own way to say goodbye to summer break. A new season awaits and I can't wait for new memories and traditions.
