Weekend Memo No. 109
Wow, the last Friday of summer break. How did summer end already? Although to tell you the truth, I have been ready for a new season. I think I've had enough of this heat and I'm ready to move on. Sadly, this heat will continue for a couple more months. But as I mentioned in this post, a trip to New England in the fall is just what I need. I have a feeling it will reenergize me mentally, and give me a chance to experience a change in my current wardrobe -- which by the way, I'm so tired of my summer clothes already.
Weekend MemoInspiration block . . . You may have noticed a lack of posting on instagram. The weather may be to blame. Ha! The truth is that I've been going through a bit of an inspiration-block, you know like writer's block. So I have been unplugging myself as much as I can from social media, besides some work commitments I already had. Anyway, I know I'll snap out of it soon, but I never like feeling like this. The truth is I probably have too much going on in my brain with the end of summer, back to school routines, and just life. I hope it doesn't last much longer because I do miss my regular posting.Every summer has a story . . . And this summer was a great one! It started by traveling to South Carolina, Savannah, and Boston, a mid-summer trip to Sanibel Island, multiple trips to the beach, and now planning a trip to New England this fall.End of summer picnic . . . a picnic with little Ems to talk about our favorite summer memories and back to school stuff. I made it super simple with this yummy-flavored water, and a few snacks. Read more about it here.New in . . . because summer-like weather will be here just a bit longer, I decided to add some new tees to my regular rotation. This one with the option to get embroidered {and I did!}, and this one were recently ordered. Also, this fun ruffle top in black because it's sleeveless and will definitely work now, and I'm also thinking it will work through the holiday season.Fall forward . . . I'm sort of willing fall to get here already. It's one of my favorite seasons. And to think about autumn I think I may bake this fig tart this weekend. Who wants to come over for dessert?
